What you need

• Candle (white)
• Fireproof Bowl
• Herbs (Bay Leaf)
• Matches

Steps

1. Begin the spell at night, in a quiet room where you can be alone.
2. Place the fireproof bowl on a safe, flat surface.
3. Light the candle using the matches.
4. Take a bay leaf and write a question or topic you want to know about on it using the candle's soot.
5. Hold the leaf over the candle's flame and let it catch fire.
6. Carefully drop the burning leaf into the fireproof bowl.
7. Watch the flame closely. Pay attention to the way it moves and any shapes or images it forms.
8. When the flame dies out, interpret the ash of the bay leaf. The patterns and shapes may provide clues to your question or topic.
