Protection spells put a boundary between you and whatever you don't want near you — bad luck, hostile energy, or simply a draining week. They are usually the first spells a new witch learns, because the tools are simple: salt, a white or black candle, protective herbs like rosemary and sage, and stones such as obsidian or clear quartz.
Most protection work is renewed rather than cast once. Repeat it when you move, after an argument in the house, or at each new moon.
