Appearance & origins
Spirit Quartz is a stunning crystal with a druzy-like surface, featuring a main terminated point covered in smaller crystal formations. It comes in various colors, including lavender (Amethyst Spirit Quartz), white or clear (Quartz Spirit Quartz), yellow (Citrine Spirit Quartz), and sometimes smoky hues. The texture is rough due to the tiny crystals covering its surface, giving it a sparkling, ethereal appearance.
Spirit Quartz is primarily mined in South Africa, particularly in the Magaliesberg mountain region of Gauteng Province, where it is found in abundance.

Folklore & history
In South African folklore, Spirit Quartz is regarded as a sacred stone that connects the physical and spiritual worlds. It is often referred to as a 'stone of ancestors' due to its ability to bridge communication with spirit guides and past loved ones.
Although Spirit Quartz is a relatively modern discovery, quartz in general has been used throughout history in divination, healing, and ritual work. Spirit Quartz is thought to carry the same ancient wisdom as traditional quartz, amplified by its unique structure.
Safety
Warnings: Spirit Quartz is generally non-toxic and safe to handle, but it is not recommended for making crystal elixirs via direct water infusion due to its porous and delicate surface.
Care: Store Spirit Quartz in a safe, dry place away from abrasive surfaces to prevent damage to its druzy exterior. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as it may cause fading of its coloration.
